Hey friend!
Yesterday I posted a new video about how to live our best possible life, with Sam Harris.
If you watched the video I posted previous to this one, on the same topic (how to live your best life) but with Naval Ravikant, I think you will realize that they point to the same direction, but from different angles.
They both conclude that time well spent is about being self-aware, paying full attention to whatever you are doing and have the power to consciously allocate your attention to the things that matter to you.
Here is all the written content I produced (in a nice format)...
✍️ Quotes
"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." - Albert Einstein
"The unexamined life is not worth living" - Socrates
"You become that which you are most consistently exposed to" - Kapil Gupta
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” - Viktor Frankl

📝 Notes
- There is always the last time of any type of experience.
- Do not take any moment for granted.
- Pay more attention -- Lets you See life more preciously
* Attention = True Source of Wealth
** Time without attention -- Time wasted
** (Time with attention -- Time Well-spent)
- Mindfulness (tool)
* What is it?
Mindfulness is the ability to notice the process (of allocating your attention somewhere) with clarity, to then be able to consciously choose where to allocate your attention.
This happens because it helps you to break the link btw feeling and the behavior imperative, by letting go of the feeling.
* Why to practice it?
** Helps you to live more presently, because you stop being lost in thoughts (about the past and future).
"We become what we pay attention to"
"You become that which you are most consistently exposed to" - Kapil Gupta
** Helps you to become the kind of person who is fully present (in anything you choose).
** Leads to "Freedom of Attention".
📝 Poem
IF by Rudyard Kipling:
"If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!"
