This is the decision I faced back in 2022, when I wanted to start learning from the ideas of the best non-fiction books: βShould I go with Shortform, Headway or Blinkist?β
Yes, thank you so much for this detailed review! I have a lot of extra costs this month but I still wanted to subscribe to an app like this.
I found out about Blinkist through an article I read last night and it was very much recommended there.
Then I went and downloaded it, registered, while being annoyed at not being able to find the cost of a monthly subscription.
I was very surprised at the high cost, 139,99 $ for PRO (with the "pay in next 20 minutes for 35%) and 79,99$ for PREMIUM subscription (20% if paying in the next 20 minutes... but just the same, it never removed or changed the discount offer).
Also, I thought of checking it out on their web site, there I was actually offered this long questionnaire but at least with a bigger discount, I think it was cca 50% for the yearly subscriptions (around 100 β¬ instead of 200 β¬) & there was still no monthly subscription.
As I clicked on the back button it actually offered me 5 days free trial π
That was another big point that I really noticed, i really didn't like that it had no free trial and at the same time it does cost a lot of money. If they had some trial period and / or at least a monthly subscription, that would be easier to pay in my case at least.
I also had absolutely no idea what this service included. It was all listed there and i suppose to people who use it on a regular basis they were familiar with what is new etc. But to me, it sounded all the same.
This is why I googled alternatives and thank God I found your article as I was on the verge of paying for it.
I'll check out Shortform for sure and take the free trial at least to check it out for a few days. Then for a change I'll make an educated decision instead of my usual impulse "buy style" π
A big thank you once more! This was such a pleasure to read β€οΈ
Thank you so much for such a great post. I really hate starting all those quizes just tonfind out that you always have to pay for everything and even have little to none knowledge of what you will be getting. Therefore thank you for your detailed research! ππ» ππ» ππ»
